Born from Ferdinand’s passion for the live event industry and his drive to train the next generation of producers, the Event Management Academy (EMA) was created to bridge the gap between education and professional practice.
EMA was designed not for the privileged few, but for the pirates young, creative, hands-on talents eager to make a difference.
While developing EMA, Ferdinand immersed himself in the education field, earning teaching credentials and designing programs at ROC Amsterdam, Nova College, Inholland and CIBAP. These experiences deepened his understanding of how the Dutch education system operates and where it can grow.

Together with partners ONA, Idea, Marcel Kampman (Dreamschool), and Dennis van Aalst (FCB), he shaped EMA’s concept and strategic framework. Despite systemic challenges, EMA became a model for how practice and education can reinforce each other proving that resilience and creativity are essential tools for future makers.
